A Little Background of ME

I come from a small town in the mountain area of China, where we didn't have sufficient supply of objects. In the city, we could buy almost every daily supplies we need from supermarket, but in the small town, villagers have to make full use of every objects. Looking back to my own origin, I realised that real sustainability for me is not about recycling things I don't want anymore after discarding them, nor is it about finding alternative “sustainable” materials. It’s all about how do we carefully looking after every object till the end of its life span with empathy, love and appreciation.

Story of THE PLAYGROUND

All the objects in this collection are telling one big story collectively. They speak to disposable culture, aim to create a dialogue with users about how should we take responsibility, as a designer, a manufacturer and a consumer, of the objects we human beings brought to the world. 

At the mean time, each object is telling an individual story by its own. I want to inspire my users to discover the stories attached to each object, thus dig up the emotional value of daily objects, of discarded objects.
